First, the Lune PURE Hygiene cleans the teeth and completely removes all saliva (which slows whitening) from the enamel before the hydrogen peroxide is applied. Then, low-concentration pure hydrogen peroxide is applied to the bare enamel surface with increased efficacy and decreased likelihood of side effects, like pain and discomfort. PURE White is applied in a disposable mouth piece, with narrowband LED illumination that increases the rate of the chemical whitening process.
With PURE White, the patient has low-concentration pure hydrogen peroxide applied in a single-use inconspicuous LED illuminated mouthpiece. The patient wears the mouthpiece out of the office. When the LED’s go out, the patient simply throws the mouthpiece away. Because the mouthpiece is powered with environmentally friendly zinc-air batteries, no special waste-disposal methods are required.
